Course Overview
This unit is prescribed by the VBA as part of the eligibility requirements to obtain registration or licencing in the Victorian specialised class of plumbing: Type A appliance servicing work.
This course will provide learners with the skills and knowledge required to diagnose and repair faults on domestic and commercial Type A gas appliances.
The completion of this unit does not authorise a person to carry out Type A appliance servicing work. The completion of this unit will enable a practitioner to apply for accreditation with the VBA to lawfully undertake this work
Target Audience
- This unit is prescribed by the VBA as part of the eligibility requirements to obtain registration or licencing in the Victorian specialised class of plumbing: Type A appliance servicing work.
- Persons who typically undertake this course would generally already be registered or licenced in the ‘parent’ plumbing class: Gasfitting Work.
- Persons who are currently registered or licenced in the specialised class may elect to undertake this unit to refresh their skills and knowledge on Type A appliance Servicing work.
- Persons who are not yet registered in Gasfitting work may still undertake this course providing that they meet the pre-requisite requirements.

- If cancellation has been made 7 days prior to course date, a full tuition fee refund will be made to you
- If cancellation is made within 7 days you will receive 50% of the tuition fee paid
- If cancellation is made 72 hours or less to the course start date, a 0% refund of the tuition fee paid
