WHAT IS RPL?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is about your skills & knowledge you've gained through work and life experiences. If you're thinking about studying or training, think first about what skills you already have.

You may be able to reduce the time it takes to get your qualification—you may not need to study at all. You have the skills, it's time to get the qualifications you deserve.

WHY SHOULD PEOPLE BE ASSESSED FOR RPL?

Forget years of study! RPL can be completed within weeks, exempting you from studying some or all the units of your qualification. RPL is a cost-effective way of achieving your qualification, allowing you to save a substantial amount off of your course fees. Avoid repeat learning and classroom study by recognising what you already know, from the comfort of your home.

WHAT EVIDENCE CAN BE SUBMITTED?

RPL evidence most often refers to documentary or electronic evidence, whichmay include the following typically presented examples:

     - Certificates & qualifications
     - Workplace or industry awards
     - Professional trade memberships
     - Samples of work & projects
     - Photographs & videos of work
     - Written customer testimonies, client feedback
     - References from employers etc...
